Black urban gardeners also known as BUGS is a collective of black men and women who are involved in Urban Gardening and food Justice for black people.
The Black Urban Gardeners and Farmers of Pittsburgh Co-op has the support of the residents of Monticello Street (the physical location of our farm), as well as many of the Homewood community residents who support us. We continue to garner community support through our outreach and community engagement. Our urban farm, The Homewood Historical Community Farm is located across the street from PPS Westinghouse Academy 6-12 and is on a 31,000 square feet property.
