Community Garden, also known as an allotment garden, where people rent or adopt individual beds to grow crops. We allot beds or growing space to individuals – $25 – $60, based on plot size. There is a waiting list for this garden; please send an email to secure a spot on the waiting list. The average wait for a plot is 1-2 years. We prioritize residents of the garden neighborhood, Lawrenceville, Garfield, and Bloomfield within 1 mile of the garden location.
Mission Statement: We provide a lively, community gardening experience to our members and neighbors while beautifying our little sliver or Lawrenceville.
Established 1996
Project Partners: Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh, Lawrenceville United
Our growing space operates early spring through late fall, dawn to dusk.
Our produce is consumed by our volunteers.
We organize community activities such as annual seedling exchange, seed planting, garden kick off and clean up events.
We grow in ~30 plots of various sizes
