The Hamnett Place Community Garden is fully member-run and consists of Piano Place, a public area containing three perennial flower beds, a meandering stone path, nine fruit trees, one nut tree, five raised beds planted with a variety of perennials, and three trellises currently planted with hops. There are 20 raised beds reserved for members located inside a fenced-in area as well as a tool shed, rain barrels, and a three-bin compost system.
Garden members are responsible for the care of all areas of the garden in addition to their individual raised bed. Hamnett Place Community Garden is an organic garden, therefore all members must follow organic farming principles.
